Wet processing equipment company CDE Group has partnered with Walker Quarries to host an open day for Walker Quarries’ new wash plant.
The 200 tonnes per hour sand and aggregate wash plant was commissioned at Walker Quarries’ Wallerawang Quarry in New South Wales.
The plant comprises of CDE’s M-Series M4500 modular wash plant, an AggMax scrubbing and classification system, an AquaCycle high-rate thickener, and a filter press sludge dewatering system.
It also incorporates CDE SmartTech, a plant management app that enables customers to better understand their plant’s performance, schedule maintenance and easily order parts.
“It’s exciting to see this plant operational to really see the benefits it has delivered, not only for Walker Quarries, but for the local construction industry and economy,” CDE general manager for Australasia Daniel Webber said.
“We’re really looking forward to throwing open the gates of this facility and welcoming the wider industry onto the site to see the plant in full operation.”
CDE is also helping Walker Quarries produce a range of materials for the local construction industry, including two sands – 0-3mm and 3-5mm – and five aggregate products – 5-3 mm, 10-7 mm, 20-14 mm, 22.5-75mm and +75mm oversize.
“We’re delighted with the success of the entire project, from the initial discussions, right through to the installation and aftersales care, the entire team at CDE has included us every step of the way and completely exceeded our expectations,” Walker Quarries quarry manager Wayne Chapman said.
“Since the new wash plant has become operational, there has been an ease in production bottlenecks. The plant’s flexibility in configuration has allowed us to develop new high-grade products such as a thermal resistivity sand.
“We’re excited to show this new offering to the market.”
The open day for the plant will take place on April 11 from 9am–4pm.
